Financial Assistance Program
It is an aim of Brookstone School to remain a feasible alternative in education for all qualified students regardless of financial need. With generous assistance from foundations, parents, alumni, and friends, the school is able to provide financial aid to a growing number of students.
Basic Principles
In order to determine the financial need of a family, the parents of each financial aid applicant must submit a detailed financial statement in writing or online to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid in Princeton, New Jersey. Following the analysis by the Service, the application is reviewed by Brookstone School's Financial Aid Committee.
Financial assistance is awarded annually to eligible students. Each year parents are required to complete a new confidential statement if they wish to be considered for assistance for the coming school year.
Students benefiting from the financial aid program are expected to maintain a passing average and satisfactory deportment.
Procedure
Parents interested in the financial aid program can request a financial aid application from the Brookstone Advancement Office, or go to www.sss.nais.org and click on Create Profile to complete the application online. Applications should be submitted no later than March 1st to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid in Princeton, New Jersey. A copy of the family's most recent Federal 1040 form should be mailed to Brookstone School for verification purposes.
It is essential that requests be filed in a timely manner so that the committee can likewise inform families of the assistance they may expect to receive. Late requests will not be included in the initial allotment of aid and will be denied if all funds have been offered to timely applicants.
