We in the Upper School have been blessed with excellent facilities. an experienced, caring faculty, and a student body with excellent potential. The 2008-2009 school year promises to be challenging and exciting.

Our faculty will experience three changes. Cory Loomis will teach all freshman English classes. Shelley Wiseley will move from the Middle School and teach Algebra 2 and Algebra 3/Trigonometry. Lisa Keller will be new to Brookstone and will teach Spanish 1 and Spanish 2.

We will add three semester courses to our already strong curriculum. "Geography", taught by Billy Byrd, will be both an enrichment course and a prerequisite for AP Human Geography. "Film" has been added by Dr. Belle Harrell and will be similar to a course Dr. Harrell taught at Florida State University before coming to Brookstone. Cory Loomis will answer student requests of providing a "Life Skills" course that will inform students about financial matters and skills needed when they leave us and become more responsible for personal business.

Todd Stanfill and the coaching staff have lead Brookstone to be named the number 1 Class A program in the State of Georgia (received the Director's Cup) for each of the past two years. The challenge to repeat for a third year has been made much more challenging by Georgia High School Association's reclassification for 2008-2009 and 2009-2010.  Bigger Schools have moved down to Class A and several independent schools that had been in Class AA have moved down because the "1.5 Multiplier" has been dropped. New schools in our region will present new challenges and should make 2008-2009 athletics very interesting.

Thank you for your support and for being a part of the Brookstone family.
