Georgia Education Tax Credit

Brookstone is continuing its partnership with Georgia GOAL to assist our parents, grandparents, alumni and friends in redirecting state tax dollars to benefit the school.  In order to participate in this Georgia tax credit program, taxpayers submit two easy to complete forms directly to Georgia GOAL.

Those interested in supporting students entering Brookstone designate Brookstone School as the recipient school on their check made out to the Georgia Goal Scholarship Program Inc.  The school will work with eligible students, who meet all of Brookstone's admission requirements, on determining the amount of the need based scholarship.  Georgia GOAL provides the contributors with a form to file with their Georgia state income tax return to claim the credit.

Taxpayers are able to support scholarships at no real out of pocket cost.  The program allows students who might not otherwise be able to afford an independent school education the opportunity to enroll.

There are five easy steps - 1. Authorize GOAL to receive approved Form IT-QEE-TP1 from the Georgia DOR, 2. Sign and date page 2 of Form IT-QEE-TP1 (GOAL will use the information to complete the Form), 3.  Write a check to Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program Inc, for the qualifying amount,  4.  Mail forms with your check to Georgia GOAL,  5. Get Credit GOAL will send you a confirmation Form IT-QEE-SSO1, which you should submit with your 2010 state tax return to claim your Georgia income tax credit.
