Georgia Education Tax Credit

In order to participate in this Georgia tax credit program, taxpayers submit a Georgia FormIT-QEE-TP1 to the Georgia Department of Revenue.  Once approved, taxpayers make a contribution to an approved Students Scholarship Organization, like Georgia Goal in order to re-direct their State tax liability.

Those interested in supporting students entering Brookstone designate Brookstone School as the recipient school on their check made out to the Georgia Goal Scholarship Program Inc.  The school will work with eligible students, who meet all of Brookstone's admission requirements, on determining the amount of the need based scholarship.  Contributors file the approved Form IT-GEE-TP1 with their Georgia state income tax return to claim the credit.

Taxpayers are able to support scholarships at non-public school with no real out of pocket cost.  The program allows students who might not otherwise be able to afford an independent school education the opportunity to enroll.

There are four easy steps - 1. Get Pre-Qualified get pre-qualified by submitting to the Georgia Department of Revenue Form IT-QEE-TP1, 2. Confirmation the Department of Revenue will return a copy of the apporved form to you, 3.  Contribute once you receive the approved form, you have 30 days to submit a copy of the form and a check to the Georgia GOAL Schoarship Program with Brookstone School noted in the memo section of the check, 4. Get Credit GOAL will send you a confirmation Form IT-QEE-SSO1, which you should submit with your 2009 state taxt return to claim your Georgia income tax credit.
