Prefect Program

What is the Prefect System?

In our Middle and Upper School divisions, Prefect Committees serve our school community by contributing in every aspect of student life, admissions, campus tours, communications, publicity, service, school grounds, environmental life, and the overall quality of the student experience that makes Brookstone School so unique. Prefects are chosen as student leaders based on their character, integrity, and commitment to the mission and core values of Brookstone School. Each Prefect Committee has a faculty or staff member mentor to assist them in building a committee and shaping a vision for the year. Mentors provide accountability and serve as an invaluable resource to Prefects as they see their plans through to completion.
